If you would like a committee nomination form or proxy voting form please contact us on secretary@warragultheatrecompany.org.au(Noting the Secretary will need to receive committee nominations 7 days prior to meeting) Notice of ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGThe Annual General Meeting for Warragul Theatre Company will be held on Thursday 15th August, 2024Starting promptly at 7.30pmAtOld Shire Hall (Museum), 72 Queen Street, Warragul (upstairs)Agenda: 1. Welcome2. Apologies3. Minutes of previous A.G.M.4. President’s Report5. Treasurer’s Report6. General Business7. Final Call for Nominations for the 2024/25 Committee8. Election of the 2024/25 CommitteeAll positions on the committee are declared vacant at the Annual General Meeting, and will be filled as follows:a) Presidentb) Vice Presidentc) Secretaryd) Treasurere) Assistant Secretaryf) Assistant Treasurerg) General Committee Members (3)Nomination & Election: All nominees must be financial members of Warragul Theatre Com Inc prior to the AGM and their membership must be current at the time of the AGM.Nominations for the committee must be proposed and seconded and the nominee must agree to the nomination. The proposer and seconder MUST be financial members of Warragul Theatre Company for 2024/2025At the AGM nominees and/or nominators may be asked to make a short statement supporting their nomination; the seconder may simply agree or add to the statement if he/she so desires. Nominations to the committee will be accepted up until the final call for nominations at the meeting.Proxy Voting:The Articles of Association of Warragul Theatre Company allows for proxy voting for changes to the Articles of Association and for election of committee members if nominations have been made and accepted and the members notified at least two weeks prior to the meeting. Elections:Separate elections will be held for each position (if necessary). Unsuccessful nominations for executive positions will automatically be included in the general member election.Committee Commitment:Warragul Theatre Company needs a strong committee in order to prosper and grow. It is expected that each committee member commits the desired hours and shares responsibilities to ensure this. Invitation:All past and present members of Warragul Theatre Company are invited to attend the AGM and to seriously consider the people they would like to see on the 2024/25 committee.Membership:Only financial members for 2024/25 are eligible to vote at the AGM We look forward to seeing you at the AGM. The best way to submit your application is via our email: info@warragultheatrecompany.org.auWe can’t wait to read your submissions 🤩Warragul Theatre Company is now accepting expressions of interest for various roles in our May 2025 production of Come From Away to be staged at the West Gippsland Arts Centre.We know this show is highly anticipated and that there are many interested parties for all roles, and we thank you all in advance for your interest in our production.We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the roles of:· Director· Musical Director· Choreographer· Dialect Coach (noting there are approx. 12-14 accents in the show)· Costume Designer/Coordinator· Set Designer/Coordinator· AssistantsIf you are interested, please send an expression of interest including a CV to info@warragultheatrecompany.org.auExpressions of interest will close July 5 2024 after which interviews will be organised, these will take place the week of July 15th.We encourage applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience levels to apply. Individual and group applicants welcome.Inspiration:Come From Away is the brainchild of Michael Rubinoff, a dean of visual and performing arts at Sheridan College near Toronto, Canada. He approached the composer/lyricist team of Irene Sankoff and David Hein to further develop the musical about a small Newfoundland town and the days immediately following the September 11 attacks.
